In fairness to the Tories

18Dec08

In a previous post, I applauded the NDP for talking to Everyday Canadians and suggested that other federal parties were apparently too Ottawa-obsessed to care what people thought.

Well, today finance minister Jim Flaherty did what he should have done long ago and appointed a Council of Elders to advise him on economic matters.

At the end of the post is the most important sentence for the purposes of this post: “Town hall-style meetings across Canada are scheduled for the New Year.”

Good. Bring those Everyday Canadians into the loop.
