WHO IS NICK?
Nick’s a freelance writer.
Right now, he’s OpenFile‘s Ottawa editor. He’s a big believer in collaborative journalism, and he likes to use the word hyperlocal to describe his favourite kind of reporting.
He has interviewed university presidents in his underwear, has taken leave of his office to watch whichever NBC comedy is funniest at the time (see below), and has studied Canadian politics with an inexplicable passion.
He writes more than anything else for several publications, but he also produces podcasts and has hosted community radio shows. He sometimes work for the CBC, too. If you want to see samples of his writing or hear his voice, please visit here.
